Le Corbusier Black Leather LC1 Chairs for Cassina 1970s

Famous tilting backrest LC1 chairs with steel structure and black leather seats. They are also known as “Fauteuil à dossier basculant”. Numbered and signed. They might have been produced in circa 1970s. Good conditions showing small wears but coherent with prior use and age and no structural damages or cuts in the leather. We have cleaned and moisturized with cream the leather and cleaned the steel without re-polishing it, not to loose the original patina. A video of these chairs is available upon request. Dimensions: H 23.63 in. x W 23.63 in. x D 25.2 in., H 60 cm x W 60 cm x D 64 cm, seat height 15.36 in. (39 cm). There are three versions of this chair which were all designed for different uses: the model that was shown at the Salon d’Automne in 1929, the version created for Villa Church in 1928, and another version created for the 1930 exhibition the Union Des Artistes Modernes. Since 1964, Cassina Spa has been exclusive manufacturer of Le Corbusier’s furniture, and of those crafted in collaboration with Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand. These pieces of furniture are included in the collection “I Maestri” by the Milanese firm. They all have code names starting with LC (LC1 to LC5, and LC7 to LC9 for seats and settes, LC6 for the table with aeroplane wing feet; LC10-P and LC11-P for the other tables and LC-standard lockers,) each bearing the indelible signature with the Foundation’s logo and Le Corbusier’s signature, as well as a serial number attesting to the quality control. All these marks are the guarantee of authenticity of the furniture produced by Cassina.

Before buying you can always request a shipment quotation. Please fill in the below form or contact us to obtain a shipment quote.

SHIPMENT COST: for each items on the web site Pescetta.it we have provided a general shipment quotation which includes the packaging, the insurance and the delivery according to the front door freight. A skilled driver will unload the item from the delivery truck and bring it to your building’s doorstep. You will be responsible for further transport beyond that point. We recommend asking someone for an extra hand; alternatively you may upgrade to In-Home Delivery. Please note that Custom and duty taxes are not included.

INSURANCE: All the items shipped are covered by insurance.

HOW IT WORKS: once you have confirmed the order we take care directly of the packaging which is fundamental to protect objects while they are moved. Usually we build tailored wood boxes and fill them in with bubbles, paper, foam rubber, polystyrene in variable quantities depending on the kind of object. Then the shipment company comes and pick up the box to deliver to the final address. At this point I will share with you the tracking nr. To follow the shipment. Item will be left in its packaging after delivery. A wooden crate is usually used for international shipments for maximum protection. To open it you might need a simple screwdriver.

TRANSIT TIME: usually shipment takes around 10 working days.

APPOINTMENT: The shipment company will email and/or call you at least one day in advance to arrange a delivery time.

DELIVERY: A signature will be required upon delivery.

IMPORTANT: Please accept the box with reservation ( write it next to the signature on the delivery note - to have time to open the box and check the object) Please examine the box upon delivery. In the event that there are visible signs of damaged packaging or missing or incorrect pieces, please indicate the problem on the Delivery Note, take some pictures ( externally and internally) and contact us as soon as possible within 24 hours. A signed delivery receipt without reservation or notations of missing, damaged represents your acceptance of the complete order in perfect condition and it makes impossible to activate the insurance procedures.

This cost will be applied only in the case you do not confirm the piece and we have to bring it back. It may vary depending the size of the item and the difficulties of transportation. RENDERING: We are available to make a photo rendering of an object to help you to image it at your place. We need few pictures of the room and the wall ( frontal and 45° ones). This is a free service.

BUY ONLINE: If you like an object you can order and pay it online or you can contact us to complete the purchasing.

SAFE PAYMENT: Online you can pay with Paypal otherwise via bank transfer. Contact us and do not hesitate to ask for any clarification or any kind of need regarding the payment.

RETURNS ARE ACCEPTED: you can return an object paying and taking care for the shipment. Read all the information in the FAQ section (link ENG ). Returns are not accepted for custom made items.
